It's a great cover; Jonny, Hadji, Bandit and the setting are all perfect. It may sound odd when Dave Stevens is so justly famous for pretty girls, but the one thing I don't like on the cover is Jade.
The facial expression and the body language suggest a frightened ingenue when the character from the old TV show was anything but. Having two eleven year old boys and a little dog look tougher and braver than her doesn't seem right.
The pose doesn't work for me either. The boys are ready for action but Jade's stance only works to show off her curves.
I'm probably being too hard on the poor guy. It's just a comic book cover. Still, I'd have been happier if he'd made it all one thing or the other: a dramatic scene or else pure cheesecake.
I don't know.... I see it more as Jonny being totally reckless, and possibly endangering them all with his little show broom bravado; while Jade is being cautious only because she has to protect the boys in her charge. I'm sure if she was on her own, she'd have been more forthright.
