Wow! I remember reading this when it was first published and enjoying the hell out of it.
Leter, when I started my own writing career, I got to know Warren Murphy and got to hang with him on a couple of occassions. He was as funny as he wrote. A real cool cat.
When it got toward the end of the Doc reprints, I hunted around for a new series, and stumbled upon the Destroyer (at the time, I think Will Murray was writting it). I started getting the current ones, as well as hunting down back issues. I got a lot of them, then later lost interest in the series. I'm not sure if I ever got the first volume, but if I did, it didn't have this cover.
