Can't go wrong with Doc!
This was the first Doc comic I ever owned.
This was the first Doc magazine I owned.
Sure, but to a 10-year-old, it was a comic.
These b&w mags were a pretty successful take DOC SAVAGE, although visually I hated the totally inappropriate "costume" Marvel made Doc wear.The stories by Doug Moench (one of my favorite comics writers) had the right feel and the art was almost always very good, if often non-period.All in all, I think these were probably the best version of the Man of Bronze in comics.
I wasn't correcting you, Will. I'd had Doc comics before this, but this issue was the first Doc magazine I owned. Sorry about the ambiguity in my comment.
