Is this book any good?

It is -- it's definitely not in Haggard's style, it's a 1970s updating/sequel, but it fits in continuity. And it also has a minor crossover tie to Tremayne's Dracula trilogy.

Clive Nolan (who previously recorded a couple of great concept albums with Oliver Wakeman: Jabberwocky & The Hound of the Baskervilles) has a new project called Caamora. Their new release is SHE, based on the original book. It's an amazing piece of progressive rock.

I agree that Tremayne did a great job of updating She and writing a good sequel.

Ayesha as a California blonde?

LOL! :-)

Interestingly, I always tend to view these goddess femme fatales (Ayesha, Antinea, La of Opar, etc.) as having dark hair -- almost raven-haired.

And yet Dennis and Chris C. have done research which indicates La was auburn-haired. Go figure! :-)
