THE GREEN HORNET CASEFILES and teaser cover art!

That's right, folks you heard it here!

Moonstone Books' follow-up to
The Green Hornet Chronicles is titled The Green Hornet Casefiles and will feature more great stories featuring the fabulous '60s version of The Green Hornet and Kato.

Rubén Procopio's cover is all kinds of awesome
, effectively teasing the mysterious and thrilling tales to be found on the pages between the covers. Many thanks for his permission to repost the cover here; you should also check out Rubén's original post!

And...surprise! The alternate cover by none other than Michael Wm. Kaluta!

I am already hard at work on editing the stories, along with my co-editor, Joe Gentile. The book is due out in April 2011.

In the meantime, don't forget that volume one, The Green Hornet Chronicles, is coming any day now!

Green Hornet story finalized!

I'm pleased to note that my story for Moonstone Books' forthcoming anthology The Green Hornet Chronicles, "Fang and Sting," is finalized and will be appearing in Volume 1.

Word from Moonstone is the book is due out in July. In the meantime, feast your eyes, if you haven't already, on the beauty of a cover by Glen Orbik.

You can also check out some samples of the magnificent spot illustrations by Ruben Procopio here.

We're this close to finalizing the other contents, and I'll post those when we're ready.

Also loving the alternate cover by Ruben Procopio!

The Green Hornet, Vol 1 (Moonstone Books)

My tale has been accepted for Volume 1 of Moonstone Books' Green Hornet prose anthologies. And, in fact, my story was inspired by this promotional image lovingly rendered by Ruben Procopio.

I'm also happy to say this is not the extent of my involvement with the Hornet and Kato, but further details are under wraps right now.

So stay tuned, and keep on buzzin'.

These arrived today....

Quite pleased.... I have the Green Hornet serials on VHS, which doesn't do me much good as I don't have a functional VHS player right now. Looking forward to watching these again, anyway. The liner notes that came with the DVDs are excellent.

I enjoyed the Bond movie a lot in theaters and perhaps will watch it again this weekend, on a writing break.

I saw Torchwood: Children of Earth while I was in the UK last month and agreed with the general sentiment in most reviews that it started with a bang but petered out. Nonetheless, overall I think it's worth having the DVD set.

It's Hornet Time!

I've been informed that the folks at Moonstone Books and the license holder have approved my proposal and synopsis for a short story to appear in volume one of Moonstone's Green Hornet anthologies.

My idea was inspired, at least in part, by this fantastic promo illo by Masked Avenger Studios' Ruben Procopio.

Just in time for the Sci-Fi Channel’s Phantom movie!

And just in time for the Seth Rogan Green Hornet movie!

15 all new prose stories, with spot illustrations.

Since 1936, The Phantom has been thrilling audiences who crave adventure!

Nearly five centuries ago, during a daring raid at sea, pirates took the life of merchant ship captain Christopher Standish. In the heat of the pitched battle aboard the ship, Standish’s son was knocked overboard to wash ashore on a remote beach. After stumbling upon the body of his father’s killer, young Standish swore an oath on the murderer’s skull to devote his life, and the lives of his sons and their sons, to the destruction of piracy, greed, cruelty and injustice.

To the outside world, this man, seemingly immortal, has always worn the mask. As the legend grew, it transcended the life of any one mortal.

And that legend became THE PHANTOM!

For the VERY first time anywhere…this book will have the first team-up ever of the Phantom and the Green Hornet…written by master wordsmith Harlan Ellison!

High adventure and intrigue in the African jungle, on the high seas, and in the streets! There is always justice that needs to be served, whether it’s in the present…or the past.

With an introduction by the Phantom’s creator’s daughter Diane Falk!

Plus... check out this online preview of The Phantom: Ghost Who Walks #0!

My tale is called "No Ghosts Need Apply" and features The Phantom of 1899 in a London adventure.... The Phantom is a long-time favorite and it's a real thrill to contribute to his chronicles. :-)
